Wine Country Fall Favorites

Fall is my favorite season, and before heading home to Montana, I was lucky enough to sneak in a few days at one of my favorite places.

And with some of my favorite peeps.

Kenwood, California

I love the change of season at the vineyards. These photos were taken yesterday along Highway 12 in Kenwood, California.

I spent the day with my parents and was teaching my dad about the interests of the blog. I gave ample warning however, saying, “Dad, once we get to Kenwood with all the lovely vineyards, I want you to stop so I can take some photos.” Of course he wasn’t thrilled initially, but as the day wore on, he began taking me places saying, “This place is pretty, and you can get photos for your blog.”

Seems my family is loaded with blog experts.

The funniest part, I’m nearly 100% certain the only time my dad has actually read my blog is when I print it out and mail it to him. And my parents are seriously considering purchasing a laptop and getting the Internet so they can read the blog daily.

Wonders never cease.

Ready for harvest

While I was photographing this stretch of grapes, my mom tagged along, but she was sampling. Glad she didn’t get caught!

I saw these (but didn’t buy anything, drat!) at a local winery. Speaks to a few of my obsessions, lovely antique pieces, and wine accessories.

Did somebody say "Authentic?"

Loved this one

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s blog – I attended my first ever Harvest Fair in Sonoma County. Pathetic, I realize, that I never visited while a resident. It was fun, and I ran into a few old classmates from Petaluma High School.

Compared to its neighbors, this was a mini at 133 pounds.
