Final Vacation Day

{Heavy Sigh.}

I am certainly in a quandary.

You know the one I’m talking about. The I-know-I-should-glad-to-be-going-home-but-I-am-not-ready-for-my-vacation-to-end-quandary.

It’s perplexing.

Yet, the “rational” side of my brain knows it’s time. But the non-rational side is kicking and screaming.

One of the things by which I try to adhere while on vacation is purposely NOT thinking about “ordinary life back home” but rather focus on the here and now – vacation - and I did a great job adhering to that policy this week.

I really tried to unplug as much as possible – and as the regulars know, I barely blogged – which alone, speaks volumes. And being unplugged for awhile felt heavenly. And was greatly needed.

As I sit here at the Tampa Airport waiting for our return flight to the Treasure State, I’m re-entering my digital world.

One photo at a time.

I’ve included some of my favorites herein.

The following shot should be entitled, “No staging needed.” Honestly, I was standing up about to go off and shoot some beach scenes, when this bathing beauty slowly waltzed by…photo opportunity indeed.

Here is another “un-staged” photo. Seems another beach-goer did all my work for me.  I simply stooped and shot.

That’s no model in the sunset photo. That’s my “Junior!”

Where we spent our final beach day – under the umbrellas – and in front of the sea.
