I’m not gonna lie. We are living the high-life here in southwest Montana. I read on Facebook about a current event – happening tonight – so I grabbed the Rebel, and away we went.
There was a time, in my very, very, very, very (you get the idea) long-ago past when all this swirling, twirling, swishing and twisting gave me a real thrill. Now the thought of it just gives me a severe belly-ache. And headache. And vertigo.
Instead of thrill rides, I choose to photograph the mayhem and fun, and recall longingly when the best day of my year (besides Christmas and my birthday) was a day spent at the carnival. Swirling and twirling and eating every sweet and savory treat in sight.
As I was making my way back to the car, to what should my wandering eye appear?
The carnival prize of all carnival prizes!
If only I had my wallet handy. Or was good at carnival games. I would have loved to add this piece to my esteemed collection. I should have followed this legend’s advice, and “Just Do It!”
